Knorrit Flat Riverside Camp is a beautiful long established primitive campground nestled alongside the Nowendoc River. Knorrits is a privately owned 17-hectare property with 400 metres of river frontage on the mid North Coast of New South Wales — a pleasant picturesque 40km drive west on a tar-sealed road from Wingham.

We are less than 2 hours from Port Macquarie and just over 2 hours from Newcastle. We are classified as a primitive camp ground as all of our sites are unpowered … but there is nothing primitive about Knorrit Flat Riverside Camp!

Our campground is yours for:
Total relaxation
Peace and quiet
Freedom and space

We have:
Spectacular mountain and valley views
Extra large grassy sites
Well maintained grounds
Beautiful shade trees
Fire pits on each site

And there is nothing primitive about our hot/cold showers and flushing toilets.
You can swim, ride the rapids, go tubing, canoeing and fishing.
Or, you can choose to “do nothing” and just sit and relax under the trees.
For the adventurous, there are many natural attractions in local National Parks and State Forests on offer in the Manning Valley area.
We are only a beautiful 90 minute forest drive from Ellenborough Falls – with a 200m single drop, it is one of the tallest in the Southern Hemisphere.
Knorrit Flat has many moods.
Spring brings new life, green leaves on deciduous trees and the animals raise their young.
Summer is full of activity and perfect for swimming in the river.
Autumn is deciduous trees losing leaves. Warm days and cool nights have you looking for a camp fire.
Winter is warm days, camp fires and clear starry skies.
Escape the city lights and suburbs and seek the calm at Knorrit Flat. So come and visit us – and experience all that is Knorrit Flat Riverside Camp.
