Knorrit Flat Riverside Camp is located in a spectacular part of the mid-north coast of NSW about 50km west of Taree. A sealed winding road takes you past an ever-changing landscape and scenery that becomes more spectacular the closer you get to Knorrit Flat Riverside Camp.
Once here, big hills, spectacular valleys and old fig trees guide you down to the beautiful campground nestled alongside 400m of the Nowendoc River. You won’t be disappointed.
Knorrit Flat Riverside Camp is a privately owned 17-hectare property. We are classified as a primitive camp ground as all of our sites are unpowered … but there is nothing primitive about Knorrits.
Knorrit Flat Riverside Camp is a beautiful, natural place to stay where you can spread out a bit – and not feel like you are in a caravan park. Our huge sites are designed to cope for groups.
You can swim, canoe, hang out floating about on the river; or take on the rapids. You can bring your stand-up paddle board or try your hand at catching the elusive bass. Maybe just “do nothing” and sit and relax under the trees.
We welcome families, couples – young and old; young people and anyone who appreciates camping and relaxing in a beautiful landscape.
We have large, grassed, mostly level sites with plenty of shade. (Deciduous trees means there is sunshine in the winter months.) You can pitch a tent, set up your camper van, caravan or trailer on the bank and enjoy river views and surrounding hillsides.
There is rainforest and woodland on the property for bird watchers. Guests are welcome to wander and explore our property with its pockets of rainforest and woodland and lovely valley views.
Sit on the roots of our mammoth 100 year old fig trees, and just enjoy the cool from the 50m wide canopy.
The campground is perfect for children to ride their bikes, and ideal for impromptu cricket matches, touch footy and outdoor activities.
